Hole in the Mountain Park offers one of the best sledding hills in the Midwest!
Located within the western city limits of Lake Benton just off Highway 14. The park is approximately 800 acres of woodland and prairie land, and throughout the park, you will find historical sites along five miles of hiking/horse trails.
Two picnic areas are included in the park along with a heated chalet overlooking the hills. Perfect for watching the kids sled. Make sure to call ahead to reserve the chalet.
The 800 acres of prairie and 5 miles of wooded trails are open for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and sledding.

Hole In the Mountain Prairie is a large 1300+ prairie remnant situated on a steep valley along the outer edge of the glacial escarpment known as the Prairie Coteau. The preserve provides excellent habitat for rare prairie-dependent nesting waterfowl, passerines, and other birds.
From the City of Lake Benton, go south on US 75 for 1.5 miles and park at the turn-out along the west side of the highway.
